Congratulations to the Holywood Junior Cup Team winning the Ulster South Semi Final against Rossmore. We are very proud of the team with 3 juniors playing! Led by Colm McIlroy, despite at times the atrocious conditions, the team followed up their wins against Royal Belfast, Bangor and Edenmore with another fine performance to defeat Rossmore from Co Monaghan. Their reward is a place in the Ulster South Area Final against either Rockmount or Shandon.

The team played a second round match against Kilkeel Golf Club on Sunday 27th June but despite a great effort lost 4-1.

Intermediate Cup

Sunday 28th June - Ladies Intermediate Cup -v- Clandeboye. The Ladies won and are through to the next round.

Monday 31st May - Ladies All-Ireland Four-Ball -v- Shandon. Unfortunately our ladies lost to Shandon.

MIXED

Mixed Foursomes

Sunday 28th June - Irish Mixed foursomes -v- Ardglass. Unfortunately we did not win against Ardglass. Our 3 pairs lost in their away matches at Ardglass who had the home advantage and the 2 pairs we had at Holywood won both matches.

BOYS

Fred Daly Trophy

Congratulations to the boys on their win in the Ulster South Final against Lurgan Golf Club. They now qualify for the All Ireland qualifying rounds down at Clontarf in Ireland.

Boys’ Foursomes

Unfortunately the boys have been knocked out of the foursomes competition for 2021 as they were defeated by Tandragee on Wednesday 7th July. We wish them all the best in the next round and would like to thank our boys for their hard work and dedication to the Boys Foursomes Team.

Boys’ Inter-Club

The boys' Inter-Club challenge was at Ballymena on Friday 6th August. The course was a big challenge for the boys as the majority of it was under water. Despite this they got a great result and finished in 3rd place just 8 points off the leaders Edenmore. Thank you for your best efforts and playing in conditions that weren’t helpful.

GIRLS

Girls’ Inter-Club

First round and quarter finals are all held on the 1st day, 28th July. There is a knockout round in the morning, if the girls win they will be through to the afternoon rounds. If they are successful in both rounds on the 28th July, they will progress to the semi-finals on the morning of the 29th July, the finals would be in the afternoon.
